Lens coating on SEL35f18 -- cleaning question
Ideally for all lenses(not for the Nano coatings on some of the inner elements in the newest lenses, best to send those in), blower first, then a soft brush and a blower, then (IMO) a Pec pad with a drop or two of Eclipse and then/or ROR on the pad, not the lens, then wipe gently. (if it's too wet, you risk the fluid flowing around to the back of the element)
Lens tissues are a bad idea IMO, microfiber cloths are a much safer solution, wash with dish soap and rinse with boiling water, that should remove all traces of oil, do not dry in the dryer as that will introduce wax or oil from fabric softeners like Bounce.
