A laptop with SSD installed, and when SSD has no spinning mechanism would it be okay to abuse your laptop a little (Ex. bumping, small drops, etc.)?

If you care about being able to recover data from the drive of a damaged laptop -- yes. If you care about your laptop remaining usable -- no.

Screen can crack, hinges can break, and keyboard can explode into a heap of tiny plastic parts. Panasonic makes laptops that are supposed to be sturdier than usual, however they are not exactly convenient.
