How to take pictures of the stars at night with the nx200

Hi, can some here give me tips on how to take great night time pics, especially of stars, with the nx200?

how long of an exposure is ideal? Is 30 seconds enough or should I use the bulb mode?

The problem with the bulb mode is, I can't set a timed shutter as I can with the non-bulb modes so there is some shaking even when on a tri-pod. The solution seems to be to get a external shutter trigger.

If the bulb mode is not required, what are workable settings? 30 seconds? ISO100?

I wanted to take a shot with the following settings:

Bulb exposure: 240 seconds

ISO 100

But the lack of a timed shutter is a problem in the bulb mode. Thanks.
