Sorry, I didn't realise you were talking about live view - before the photo is taken

As I said before, you can get the blinkies after you've taken the picture - which is useful if you are using Ap priority and using exposure compensation where the scene calls for it.  But you would have to then re-take the picture if you'd got it very wrong.

I agree that the live histogram is useful for before the picture is taken.
