Something about the D800

I also own a D800 after moving from medium format.   The learning curve to digital has been huge when one includes CS6, Raw, VNX 2, color management etc.    Not critiquing your shots, rather the overall feel of the images.  My D800 as well gives me a feel that it is hard to describe.  As an X videographer I describe it like this,  the difference between 24p and 60i.  It is like the difference between a John Wayne movie and the evening news.  I suspect it is somewhere in my post processing and I am experimenting with backing off trying to make images sharp.  It is a difficukt task for me as I have no digital experience until now to go by.  The images are so crisp and I am not sure how to un-crisp them.  It is not as simple as warming them up,  I am beggining to back off the clarity, sharpening etc to try and eliminate this feel.

Just my opinion,  and I am no one special.
