Old Autolock vs New MI (Multiface) hotshoe
Am I the only one who regrets the passing of the Sony/Minolta autolock hot shoe?
I have always found fitting and removing the flash so much quicker with the autolock than the standard hot shoe, which has a fiddly wheel to tighten up. Gripping the flash and pressing the release button simultaneously was a single movement.
Also the MI (Multi Interface) shoe has a lot of very small delicate looking connectors which make me want to put the protector back in, which I never do with the autolock shoe.
The same connectors are even more exposed on the flash side (or in my case at the moment on the ADP-MAA adapter) which also has it's own fiddly protective cover.
Can I ask any owners of the ADP-MAA adapter or HVL-F60M, are you using the protective covers for the camera and flash/adapter?
