Re: Nikon 24-85 + 70-300 OR 28-300 for D600?

I had them all... Now for my travel D600 - 24-120VR F4 and if I really need a real 300mm (not like 28-300) - I have a cheap, but better at 300mm Tamron 70-300VC.

24-85 is on par with 28-300 in IQ when 24-120VR F4 is a much better lens. Now I even use it in studio with D800 instead of swapping between 24-70 and 70-200VRII... Its that good...

For other than studio paid stuff - 2.8 trio and 1.4G primes though...

BTW: For travel you may find 24mm not wide enough... So I would recommend16-35VR...
