Re: Fuji lens promotion: Which one to get?

It's no secret that the 35mm is brilliant. It'll get the most use by far... and for the specific portrait/longer lens situations it's really easy to pick up a cheap 50mm, 85mm, or 105mm prime.

So far I've had the 35mm f/1.4 for 2months and it's been on the camera 95% of the time. I got Nikon 50mm f/1.8 Series E for $70 which has been perfect when I've needed it for portraits; tack sharp wide open too. I also just picked up an Asahi Takumar 105mm f/2.8 for $47 at a thrift shop; just waiting on my M42 adapter for that one. I hope it works out cause it's a brilliantly tiny lens with a smooth and snappy aperture ring and buttery manual focus.

A decent camera that is with me always, is much better than precision tool that I leave at home.
