Re: ND Filters

I've got the high end B+W 3.0 ND filters, which are 10 stop.  I know, this is an insane level of light blockage, but I wanted extremely long night shots and reasonable daytime exposures.  It is very, very hard to get long exposures in bright sunlight.  It's fairly easy to compensate for the 10 stop filter by increasing ISO if necessary, but if you don't have a strong enough ND filter your only option is to increase the f-stop, which is only useful to a point unless you don't mind a lot of diffraction.  I've tried cranking the camera up to f/22 and absolutely hate the extreme decrease in detail.
