I hope this is a good sign of things to come for the 7D Mark II & 70D.

CP+ can't come fast enough.

Maybe it's the iffy google translation, maybe it's the limit of my technical knowledge, but I can't make heads or tails re: what this tech would most likely be used in & when.

Anyone have an idea?

Canon may introduce new 20Mp APS-C sensor with new Canon 70D, I think no 7D Mk II is coming anytime soon.

Either or.  As long as they update one.

They may be waiting for the D7200 before deciding how far they need to go to counter it w/ the 7D Mark II.

I believe Nikon will announce it at CP+ because they're discontinuing the D7000 right now

The 70D should be on the fast track though because the 24MP D5200 has been known about since last Nov.  MegaPixels may not be as important as noise performance, but advertising them is much more effective.  Right now Nikon has 33% more for the same money.
