GF5 and 20 mm Pancake lens

20mm is not wide enough for general use.

The kit lens on the Rebel was 18-55 which, translated to m43 would be a 14.4-44mm zoom lens, close to the 14-42 standard zoom lenses from Olympus and Panasonic.

20mm is roughly equivalent to what was 25mm on the kit lens of the Rebel and that is zoomed in quite a bit from 18mm.

If you want a pocketable yet versatile setup you essentially have to go for the 14-42x lens on the smallest m43 body you can find.
