I would agree that the Pentax has overall greater dynamic range if you take into account shadow noise, but this shows that the Pentax is less honest in the way the image clips in the highlights.

It's been difficult for me to get images from the Pentax that have the same look as the Sigma cameras and was looking for an explanation.

Maybe I need to set the Pentax at a negative exposure bias and see if post processing can bring back the Foveon look.

I have tried to get micro contrast the same using two pass sharpening with Photoshop but then I end up with more visible luminance noise.
