I din't say that it provides better video but better video AF. By all accounts the 650Ds hybrid AF is still slower in Liveview/video than Sony DSLTs.

Sony  have mic sockets too.

Also, with a Sony using an EVF you can shoot video handheld with the camera at the eye giving a more stable platform, I don't believe that is the case with a Canon with an optical VF?
