Well.....everyone here talked me into it. 

Went down to BB this afternoon and pulled the trigger.  $2247 after NJ sales tax.  I've got 30 days to test it out and I already see that I was dialed into macro when I took the store shots so that may explain the OOF shots I took in the store.  Charging now, and work has me for the next 2 days so I'll see what it can do on Thursday along the 'Sandy' devastated beach front near my home.
