Handy hood for the M.Zuiko 60mm Macro

Lens Hood LH-49

This morning, I've received the official lens hood for the M.Zuiko 60mm Macro Lens. Expensive ($70 for a a plastic tube that probably costs 50 cents to mold) but very handy.

The user just has to slide it to enable it. No need to twist it, to take it off, to turn it around and to install it.

It's not a new idea: the Olympus OM 135mm lens had the same kind of hood (but that couldn't be taken off from the lens).

All this not only to strongly recommend it (in spite of the price) but also to suggest that hood as the model for all future Olympus and Panasonic teleprime or telezoom lenses.

I've not tested if it does vignetting. At first sight, if it does, that's not obvious.
