Nikon prefers NEW CUSTOMERS to the current customers. I am sorry. What does Nikon make for the new customers and what does Nikon make for the current customers?

D600 - for new customers

D800/D800e - for new customers (not for D700 owners)

Nikkor 24-85, 28-300 - for new customers

Nikkor DX 35/1.8, DX 16-85, DX 10-24 - for current DX customers

Nikkor 24-120/4, 16-35/4, 70-200/4, 85/1.8, 24/1.4, 35/1.4, 85/1.4, .... -for current FX customers

D400 - for current DX customers

DX 16/2, DX 24/1.8, DX 16-55/2.8 VR - for current DX customers

Nikkor AF-S 80-400 VR - for current DX/FX customers

How can you say that a D3200 and D5200 are only for new customers.  They are perfect upgrades for existing D3100/D5100 customers too or a reason for someone with a lower model to upgrade to the newer models.  Your logic is completely failed here.

The D600 and D800 are not perfect upgrades for anything that came before, but much of the rest of your logic seems pretty failed.
