...because in countries with similar Anglo-Saxon background (UK, Austrialia, Canada) gun control measures efficiently lowered gun violence.

However, enacting it will be difficult to impossible it difficult, because Americans seems to have a greater "love-affair" with the gun. Constitutional questions aside I do not see any chance of a gun-ban to be enacted  when I look at posts of the the majority of your countrymen here. Many are even prepared to disobay the law, should a gun ban be enacted. The situation is very similar with regard to a speed limit on German autobahns, where the "love-affair" ofd Germans with fast cars is just a too important factor for the electorate.

Seeing it through will be even harder, because while gun violence will go down in the long run it may even temporarily increase, until the sources of criminals have dried up.
