Q + D FA 100WR Animals (5 Images)

Q + Pentax D FA 100 WR images from the local botanical gardens near where I work.

Focussing was difficult as it was midday (but overcast).  I first focus using the whole image then the 4x enlargement. I had Focus Peaking on but I don't think I've quite figured it out yet. Shots were handheld.

After this I decided to order the Clearviewer attachment as I have used these on other cams and it helps a lot and it's quite compact. So I will see how effective it is on these weird (effective) focal lengths when it arrives.

I'm quite pleased with the results, the fact that I managed to get anything in focus as I had to use reading glasses to see the screen up close.

Aperture somewhere between wide open to f8.

Post processed in Capture One Pro 6. Not cropped, sharpened, some saturation and various exposure adjustments plus clarity.

Albino? Kangaroo (wasn't overly co-operative)

This one was about a metre or so (4 feet) away and resting.

Moving subjects weren't quite so easy

especially when they decide to turn away at the last second (an emu by the way)

I guess this isn't an animal

Thanks for looking.
