Re: Travelling to Vegas

On Boulder Highway in Henderson (on the way to the dam) is the Nevada State Museum. I was not excited to go there but was very wrong. It is a very great place, with shooting of desert scenes, old mining equipment, a train station and several early 1900s houses. Well worth a couple of hours. Also, in Las Vegas is the newly opened Mob Museum (photography sucks but very cool anyhow), Fremont Street Experience for night photography, the Neon Museum, and my personal favorite, the Gehry Building (Lou Ruvo Center For Brain Health). Great photo ops in Las Vegas, you won't have enough time so be sure to go in with a plan! P.S. I wouldn't recommend going to Red Rock Canyon...there are many other better places to visit in my always humble opinion! Like Spring Valley Ranch State Park, once owned by Howard Hughes. Tours and great photography of an authentic ranch house.
