Is it enabled in your BIOS?

Is the new drive enabled in your BIOS setup?

I have seen one machine that Windows Disk Management would recognize a drive, even when it was disabled in the BIOS. Odd. BTW, that machine was running Vista.

So, I'd make sure you actually have the drive enabled in your PC's BIOS setup for starters.  If for some reason, it's not being seen by your BIOS, you may want to try updating it to the latest version from your Motherboard Manufacturer's web site.  Ditto for any SATA drivers they have updates available for.

BTW, I couldn't help but notice that you had a lot of drives showing up (slots associated with your card reader I assume). Perhaps that's confusing it.

So, you may want to try going into Disk Management and assigning a drive letter starting after the ones associated with your card reader slots and see what happens that way.
