Owl, d800e and 70-200 f4
This evening, about 5 minutes after sunset, this Great Horned Owl was sitting in as tree. The first image show it just visible. The second is a crop of the same image. It was really much darker than this shows. Hand held.
I like this as a tribute to the resolving power and high iso performance of the d800e. It would have been nice to have had a bigger lens, but near the end of a 5 mile walk this seemed big enough.
