It sounds like you've got a good plan. I've been real pleased with my Samyang 8mm f/2.8 fisheye. And that M42 Mamiya 55mm f/1.4 is also a great little lens. It's best stopped down to f/2.8. Here's an example piggyback on a Celestron-8, Kodak PJ400, ISO 400 film, full frame, 17 minute exposure.
