What you wanna point out for finding "back-light shot" as the below link:

As the above replid, Rudy(Pol) has the one of right suggestions, #1, Auto-bracket (EV) , #2, Center-Weighted to the FACE of shot object.

And the second one suggestion is to trying lower 1~2 level focal to gain more range Depth-Of-Field to keep more flur, even if some flur or edge over-exposured. But you still can mix the first one suggestion of Rudy(Pol).

Additional one is "HDR" with various EXPOSURED to get more diverse exposured for Post-Photoshop in your laptop or PC.

The last one suggestion, steps over Left or Right a little skewed back-light, maybe the face can get more reflected light (maybe only..)

(not sure what kind of camera for shot.. XD~)
