Not sure what you're getting at here.  DOF on a lens isn't a quality factor of the lens, but a consequence of its physical characteristics - aperture and focal length.

You can easily increase DoF by stopping down the aperture.  Then you'll need lighting, but this is nothing new about this particular lens or m4/3 as a platform.  In fact, m4/3 as a platform will give you greater DoF for a given FOV than its larger sensor DSLR counterparts.
