Should I start a new battle ???

I think I've had my T1i for going on 4 years now ? I've probably taken a few hundred really good shots with it...... and missed a few thousand, due to the fact that this camera has had auto focusing issues since day 1 !!!

I sent it back twice. The first time, was shortly after I bought it...... So the those couple of weeks felt like an eternity. It felt a little better when it came back.... or else it was in my head, and I was just so glad to have a camera back in my hands.

The second time was right after I bought my 400 F5.6. Sent it in along with the camera. That felt like an eternity too, especially with my brand new 400 F5.6 being gone.

But finally got it back...... and its was still OOF

So I've just dealt with the stupid thing for more than two years now.

I totally expect to be getting the 7D or its replacement within the next year, anyway...... But still, it would be great to have a backup camera, that actually functioned properly. That, plus I know that once I get the new camera, I won't even want to look at this old malfunctioning POS !

So, I'm asking your opinions.

After all this time, with the camera now way out of warranty, should I really start another > "I'm going to get this darn thing fixed, or else, Canon will get sick of hearing my screaming, and sending the darn thing back to them 6 X's" ! < kind of battle ???

No ! Really ! I missed the darn thing before. While now, Canon could keep it for a year, just so that thing works perfect when I get it back.
