Re: Canon SX50 HS super-zoom?

you are totally correct about not learning the GH-1.  But then after having over thirty years using film cameras such as the Canon AE-1, the Canon AE-1P, The Canon T90, the Olympus OM-10, and that wonderful Kodak Instamatic I believed I already knew something about photography.  I have a better chance using a Leica than most other cameras because it is mainly manual. The problem is that it is a rangefinder and doesn't meet many of my photographic needs.

The Panasonic GH-1 is not a good camera in low light.  Playing around with settings doesn't change that.  A brilliant video camera n daylight though.  As I wrote, I do not want a camera with "Scene" settings. I like setting the settings myself as in the good old days.
