how would u compare prime lens with say 12-35 2.8 panasonic ?? (for OMD)

This is the kind of question only you yourself can answer.

Sharpness can be an obsession or it can be one factor in buying lens. The one lens big zoom solution is very attractive but involves the obvious compromise in speed and weight.

Ideally, buy the 12-35 and the 35-100. Or a good combination of fixed lenses if sharpness is an obsession.

I have both the 12-35 and the 4-140. The small zoom is certainly ´╗┐sharper but the 14-140 is no slouch and by f8 there is little difference.

But like I say, only you know what pictures you take, so only you can choose. What you'd really like is both.....
