Monopod for big lenses

I  have the 35-100 and really enjoy using it too. The E-30 and E-5 are probably the right cameras to use the SHG lenses with. For long term use and slow shutter speeds during the golden hour I like to use a monopod. It not only carries the weight but also gives me more stability and less camera shake.

I have an aluminum, magnesium, titanium alloy tripod by SLIK that didn't cost an arm and a leg with a Manfrotto single axis monopod head. For the 35-100 a larger ballhead or larger single axis head by RRS or Acratech would be better than the small Manfrotto head .
