Best choice for first/only prime on 6D FF?

SUGGESTION: take your current 24-70, set it so it gets the same field of view as a 35mm lens on your new 6D, and tape it. Shoot for a couple of days. Repeat with the lens taped at 50mm.

Buy the one you like best.

Brilliant! Problem is, I'm traveling tomorrow for several months and lenses much more expensive where I'm going (although if I only have the 24-70 2.8, that does cover a lot of ground). So wanted to pick one up before I go.

Even better, buy the 6D and the 24-105, and see if you really want a prime lens after you see how well this combo works.

This was my first thought. In fact, I was thinking I might fairly easily sell the 24-105 in Europe for perhaps no loss because I'd be getting it for about a $600 premium over the body alone (and these things are more expensive in Europe).

I'm liking that Sigma 35 1.4 idea though.
