I would venture that a closer substitute for the 24/1.4 is the 28/1.8. This is certainly the substitution I made when going FX recently, as I felt like many that the asking price for the 24/1.4 was simply too high. You can get some quite nice bokeh with the 28/1.8 and it is a very nice lens for close range work. I sold mine though because I wanted it mainly for landscape and the field curvature made that quite tricky to get right (not impossible, but not worth it IMHO).
