That is a review for you...

The 17mm f2.8 is about $250 in my market, while the 20mm and 17mm 1.8 are both $499... Now I appreciate the faster focus and faster aperture, as well as a unique construction from high quality materials.

It isn't a show stopper as far as resolution, however we have come so far in that category that I dont feel I am really losing anything there for any normal print sizes... and a bit of unsharp mask will give back a bit of perceived sharpness.

Mine is on order anyway, just for the faster aperture, and faster focus.
