The Sigma lenses do not trouble the water for me. I have had too many Sigma duds to worry about it. My Nikon 35mm f1.4 is a terrific lens & I wouldn't sell it to get the Sigma at half the price. But if you like the Sigmas than dive in & have fun with them. It is the digital age & we love to pixel peep. I enjoy the look that certain lenses create & I am much more interested in the prints & how they look. I moved to Nikon years ago to use their glass & I guess that is what I will stick with for the most part. I would like to add that there are a couple of Sigma lenses that I feel are worth having. I also have some Zeiss lenses. But for most of my lenses I use  I use Nikon & I don't see that changing.
