Automatic AF point selection. Who uses this?

No, it was the Canon EOS Elan.  I remember a co-worker had bought one and I thought it seemed like an awesome idea, though I never personally got to try it out. I assume that since they don't include it in their cameras anymore that it wasn't very successful.
