How to focusing better in video mode [Update]

For a better focusing accuracy in video footage with V-DSLT cameras, use your parafocal lens like is a varifocal ones, with this worflow:

  1. Choose what you want to be in-focus on the main scene, then...
  2. zooming on it at the maximum focal length, so focusing at your best with "focus peaking", and then...
  3. at this step, use your "focus lock" feature (on this "focusing point" during all your footage sequence)
  4. zooming back to a shorter focal length to compose your image... The result is that when you changing the focal length again from this point, all would be theorically in-focus ...
  5. (you can also lock it during the footage with some lens who have an in-lens "focus lock button").
  6. Don't forget to repeat this workflow to each footages (of course)

Then, let us to know how it works to your side.
