Definately agree with going body only, as I did the same thing. I don't agree with 17 2.8, no matter the price. You'd be better of with a 14-45 Panasonic, which will give you better IQ, and you won't be losing too much light honestly.

I know it's a Panasonic and there's no rebate but 20 1.7 is probably the best value.

Alternatively, you can put that rebate towards another wider/narrower prime. Since you'll probably want to get more than 1 prime in the end. 45 1.8 is a no brainer, one of the best bang for the buck out there albeit alittle bit long and may not be appropriate as walking around lens. Then get the 20 1.7 for anther $300.
