I'd expect the consistent exposure I used to enjoy with my 750z, K10D and HTC smartphone cameras. The 77 sensors of K5 should be able to detect that 40%-60% of the frame is overxposed by 2-3 stops and to adjust the exposure accordingly. That's how the multisegment mode is supposed to work.
