50mm 1.8G vs D
Actually, the D can be sharp enough wide open with a proper PP. Beware not sharp, "sharp enough".
If you don't want to spend the cash, of course. G is surely superior, but if you want cheap and you don't mind the cheap look, you can go with the D.
Just not with manual focus. It's not smooth in this lens. In this case you should go get the G.
