Re: Canon EF-S 17-55mm VS Sigma 17-50mm VS Tamron 17-50mm?

I'll first show the simple image.  There is nothing changed in the first two shots here other than subject distance.  Same camera, same sensor size, same lens. (Note: I shot these at F16 to try to get both pushers in focus and still try to maintain some IQ, but I might have tried stopping down to f22 or f32 for better DOF if I were to do it again)

Here are the details of these shots.  The two air hockey pushers are the same size and are positioned 4 feet apart.  The pushers are 33" off the floor and my tripod head was also 33" off the floor.  These are shot with a 7D and a 60/2.8.  In the left hand side, the closer pusher is 8 ft from the camera making the second pusher 12 ft away.  In the right hand side the closer pusher is 2 ft away and the further one is 6 ft away.  I re-sized the images so the front pusher was the same size.  Notice how perspective changed not by switching from full frame to crop, not by changing focal length, but by changing only the distance from camera to the pushers.

Now I have the camera positioned 2 ft from the front pusher and 6 ft from the back one.  The left hand side is taken with the 60/2.8 and the right hand side with the Sigma 30/1.4.  I re-sized the images so the front pusher was the same size.
