Trinity vs. Primes? What would you do?

as a long time Nikon user, I think the 5DIII is the best all-round camera out there right now.  From tests, the latest Canon 24-70 and 70-200/2.8s are the cream of the crop with fewer issues than current Nikon models.  You miss out on the ultra-wide zoom end unless you want to adapt a 14-24.  Canon has good primes and nothing Nikon makes is like the 85.1.2 - I simply like the rendition much much better.  Their new IS telephotos are much lighter than Nikon equivalents if you carry them for awhile and the 5dIII will give you a better frame rate for BIF and other wildlife(could include kids in this category).

Quite frankly, if you are in a position to do so and since you are staring over, I would take out comparable kits side by side for a day to see which one works better for you.
