55-250 mm EFS F4-5.6

55-250 mm EFS F4-5.6: Probably the most recomended lens on the forum and aguably the best lens Canon offers for the money. Tack-sharp pictures at all focal lengths and at $200.00 from Adorama, one heck of a deal.  Numerous reviews on this forum suggest that picture quality is superior to the both the 75-300mm and the far more expensive  70-300 mm. The lens is light and relatively small for a telephoto, which makes it  a must-have for hiking and backpacking. The only cons are that it is not as ruggedly built as other more expensive telephoto lenses and it is an EFS lens, which means it will only work on crop-frame cameras. The lens is also not particuarly fast and is not suitable for low light situations.

Picture below taken with the 55-250 mm Settings: 1/200sec. F5.6 135 mm ISO 200

The first camera bag you buy is always too small
