More than anything else, these type of photos just take practice. Basically, becoming more familiar with the type of photography and your camera. It will get better, I assure you!

As to your first attempt with RAW. Great job! You did far, far better than I did at my first attempt (I made a terrible mess of the my photo).

Lately, I've been using Silkypix 5.0 to initially (or completely) PP my RAW photos and like what I'm seeing. It's not the most intuitive software Ive ever used, but once you get the hang of it, it works well with the RAW files from the FZ200 (if not better than other software).
