Along with the others, a dark blanket would be better for the white dog.

Would look a bit better if you could avoid the tuft of fur over the right eye. The dog is looking sligthly to the right, a direct view may be an improved shot so you would get catchlights in both eyes. ( bit of careful editing may solve this )

Shooting at f4 or 5.6 would get the nose in sharp focus as well as the eyes.

A nice picture all the same!

With dogs, a shallow depth of field is a problem because of the distance between the tip of the nose and the eyes.
