I'm just wondering whether the a99 would show the limitations of legacy lenses (and not just Minoltas). I have a few Minoltas such as 35-70f4, a Beercan, 35-105, 50f1.7, and others which I bought for less than $100 each.

I have those 3 and other Minolta lenses that I use on my A99 with great results. As a matter of fact they are the only lenses I have to use and don't feel a need to buy new expensive Sony models.
