Sovern doesn't get that I wouldn't pay $1100 for the full frame equivalent of 27-88 f4.5 IS .

that is why Dave bought the tamy, and qianp2k bought the sigma,both good options for them.

i bought the 15-85 because of the 4stop IS, and the wide end, which is very good with lens correction in Lightroom, I need 24mm in getting ready room and use assisted bounce light And also the lens is great outside as well with the formals handheld with my lights and umbrellas as group size changes are rapid and variable width.

sovern thinks bokeh is a partial function of dof.  .  Bokeh is not blur.  Bokeh is the quality of the out of focus disks And Penta bokeh , contrary to Sovern, , Penta bokeh sucks.
