It is difficult to comment on the "3D effect" - a picture is worth, well you know what it's worth. Sorry the EXIF data of f-stop is missing (my guess is it is around 2.4, not wide open). I would say there is far more to it than simple shallow depth of field. I think the 35 f/2.0 just has better bokeh than the typical normal to wide lens, and the color is very mindful of Pentax on film.
