As old as the 7D is, it is still in the top class of APS-C sensor DSLRs.  Not to take anything away from the FZ200, but as good as the FZ200 is (I'm a new owner), the 7D can produce better quality images with a good lens.  Bigger is better and the larger sensor on the 7D is simply better.
