G11 mineral deposits inside lens

So I have a G11, which went for a brief swim in a mountain stream in 2011. It was submerged for 1 or 2 seconds before I retrieved it. I immediately removed the battery, removed everything else I could remove, propped open all of the doors and let it dry for the rest of the day. When I got home several hours later, I further disassembled it and let it dry for a few days before reassembling.

Here I am, a year and a half later with this G11 I totally forgot about, and I never even tried to turn it on after submerging it. I'm pretty sure it'll work, if I can find the battery for it. I had a similar thing happen with a G9 in 2008 (something about Canon G-s and rivers that don't mix with me, lol), and everything still works fine except for a bit of wonkiness with the ISO dial. So anyways, I can't turn the G11 on without a battery, so I'll be ordering a cheapie third party one.

Back to the point of this unnecessarily long post...

Looking over the G11 just now, I noticed that there is a sizeable mineral deposits on the inside of the lens's outermost element. I'm guessing that maybe I dried it face down, and a drop or two of water accumulated there before evaporating.

So my question... How difficult do you think it would be to take apart the G11 and clean off the inside of the lens?

I'm thinking it'll be pretty tough, but I'm almost willing to try. Thoughts?
