Please! read the FAQ!!

May I quote from the excellent 602 FAQ at http://www.marius.org/fuji602faq.php

12. Do I need an adapter to attach filters to the camera?

Yes, a 55mm-55mm or 55mm-52mm adapter tube is required. Filters, hoods & additional lenses CANNOT be fitted without the extension tube. The lens on the S602Z is not threaded, but the barrel around the lens is. The adapter tube (available from Fuji or Kenko) is a tube that shrouds the lens and is threaded so you can put filters on the end of it. Many users recommend leaving the adapter tube with a UV or Skylight filter on it on the camera to protect the extending lens, which does seem quite delicate. Please note that if you get filters, you'll need a lens cap as well, as the Fuji supplied lens cap does not fit 52 or 55mm threads. Don't buy the 55-52mm tube unless you have to. With 55-52, when you use the single recommended UV filter AND a hood there IS vignetting, on wide of course, no problem on tele. A 55-52 is OK if you use a single filter or close-up lens and nothing else. It is best to use all 55mm. One supplier is 2filters.com. With a UV filter & the 2filters.com WIDE rubber hood there is NO vignetting. With the regular hood there is still slight vignetting. The 55mm filters & close-up lenses are all the same price so stick with 55-55. If you have a 52mm tele lens use the 55-55 tube & a 55-52 stepdown ring and leave the step-down on the tele lens.

Also 602 myths - The extending lens does NOT hit the 55-52 tube and don't listen to any people who tell you to drill air holes in the tube.

you can also try 2filters.com
that is where I got my filters/tube ect from..
I got mine from them also and can't praise the service too highly, and I live in the UK. All told, a week from ordering the tube, a Kenko, was on my camera.

DomT,

Who made you the Fuji Forum cop, the only replys that I have seen from you are negative and rude! Even if you put "please!" before it, thats like saying "give me that, Please!". If you don't have anything positive to add to the topic why not just leave it alone.

If you are in the UK Jessops (www.jessops.com) sell their extender tube for £9.99. strictly speaking it is not a 55mm tube, but fits the 55mm thread at the camera end but takes standard 52mm screw-in filters at the other. There are literally thousands of filters and lens attachments available but I use a Cokin A adapter, filter holder and lens hood which works very well for me. These are left on the camera more or less permanently but when using the built-in pop up flash I have to take the hood off as it casts a shadow on the picture area. Using anexternal flash in the hot shot obviates the problem.

There are problems with the 55-52.

So how do we get people to read the FFAQ(sic)? Maybe we could rename it "Naked wimmin talk about their 602s". And its being bumped to the top daily - And its still not being read! I'm very sick of reading the same old questions over & over. Its almost turning into spam. You might also note Eric, that I have quoted it again slightly further down this same thread!!!!! Telling people to read the FAQ is positive.

Does this mean that to get the 55-55 tube we have to order it from the US, or is there somewhere in the UK.

There is an old joke that goes thorugh the guy telling the doctor, "It hurts when I do this." The response is to "Stop doing it!" So if it makes you sick to keep reading the same kind of questions, the answer is obvious. STOP DOING IT! Unless of course you'd rather be a public punchline.
