[need sugg] Second DSLR+Lens @ 2200$ - Canon 7D--Nikon D7000--Nikon D300s

You're looking at lenses more than a camera; your current Canon should do better than the Nikon D300 in low light given that it has a newer sensor. The next step up wold be a Canon 7D but in all truth lenses could make a much bigger difference.

For landscapes you could get the Canon 10-22 or the Samyang 14mm 2.8 if you don't mind manual focus (usually not a problem for landscapes with live view on your LCD).

If by nature you mean animals you could get a Canon 100-400 or the 400mm 5.6. The 70-300L covers a good range with great quality. If you don't need that reach any of the 70-200 are great.

For low light you could get a fast lens, but you need to decide on the focal length; IS would also help.

There are also cheap intervalometers for time lapse.
