Re: D600 vs. D800... which one is the most balanced camera?

I had the D600, like it very much, good results, but due to issue of oily spots and smears and I didn't want to wait to have it fixed, so I returned it with full refund.  I decided on the D800, I very quickly notice a big difference in many area, so much so, I wouldn't go back to the D600.  I used the 28-300mm lens on both camera.  I found, it work a lot better on the D800 in many areas. I haven't yet notice any short comings on the D800.  Some quirks mention by some, wasn't a quirk for me or negative.  It what you want out of the camera and whether it can grow with you as your expertise and skills improve.  If the camera only meets your skills and no room to grow, you probably pick the wrong camera.

my thoughts, hopefully it is of help
